| 1. Quick Add / Modify event |
- To quick add / modify an event, the Enable mouse
interactive on desktop option must be checked
at general option window.
- After this option enabled, you will can auick adding
an event by double clicking dates on the desktop calendar.
Or directly click the event title on desktop to enter
event edit window.

| 2. Add new event from main
menu |
- Right click the cool calendar icon and system tray,
choose New event... from the pop up menu.

| 3. Add / Modify event from
events list window |
- Add event: Click Events at preference
window switch to events list page, click
button to create a new event; or click mouse right
button at the events list viewer, choose New event...
from the pop up menu.
- Edit event:
- Switch to events list page, select correspond
event from events list viewer, click
button or click mouse right button, then choose
Modify... from the pop up menu.
- You can also enter event edit window by double
click an event at the events list viewer.
- Note: You can only modify one event at
a time.
- Refer Browse events for more
information.

| 4. Delete event(s) |
- Switch to events list page, select one or more events
from the list, click
button, or click mouse right button, then choose Delete...
from the pop up menu, click Yes when the confirm
message pop up.

| 5. Edit event window - Basic

- Subject: Title of the event.
- Save as .ics file: Click
to save current event as .ics format file, many programs
are support iCalendar format, such as Microsoft outlook,
after you save the event to .ics format file, you
can export to other programs. Click

- Attachment(s): Select attachment from the
attachment list. Click
button to add attachment.
- Category: Choose the event category, after
you choose a catefory, program will auto attach an
icon to the event unless you remove the setting, see
other settings for detail.
- Start Time / End Time: The starting/ending
date and time of the event. When recurrence is set,
this option will be disabled.
- Reminder: Activates reminder settings so
as to notify users of the coming events with messages
or sounds. Default remind time is 15 minutes before
the event.
- Play remind sound: Activates sound reminder.
Click to select the sound file.
- Full day event: Click to set the event as
a full day event.
- Recurrence setting: Click this button to
pop up the recurrence setting window see figure
2.

Time: Start/end time, support
manual input.

Recurrence pattern: Repeat
intervals, fully compatible with Microsoft outlook.

Range of recurrence:The time
span where recurrence happens

Starts on: Start date.

No end date: No end date
is set. The event will be repeated infinitely.

Ends after (n) counts:
Event will be repeated n times before its completion.

Ends by: The final date
of recurrence.
- Remove recurrence setting: Clear all recurrence
settings. When recurrence is set for the event, this
button is automatically enabled.

| 7. Edit

- Display an icon for the day the event occurs
on calendar: After enable this option, you may
set an icon for the event, program will auto display
an icon for the day the event occurs on the calendar,
so that you can easy to know which things you need
to do at the day just by take a quick look on the
desktop calendar. (Figure 4)
- Display large icon: If you checked this option,
program will use a large icon for the day the event
occurs on the calendar, the day numbe will not diaplyed,
otherwise, display a small icon besides the day number.

- Select an icon: Click the button to pop up
the icon selector window (Figure 5). By default, when
you select a category for the event at basic information
page, program will auto assign an icon for the event
according the category you choosed, you can change
the icon here.

| 1. Switch list mode |
Click correspond button to switch the list mode, the days
to be listed are display in selected status on the calendar.
Daily view
Weekly view
Monthy view

| 2. Switch calendar date |
- Click Today switch to daily view and list today's
events list.
- Click the correspond date on calendar to change the list
date. (List mode didn't change)
- Click
button switch calendar date to previours month.
- Click
button switch calendar date to next month.
- Click
button to bring up the date select window, you may choose
or input a special date that you want.
- Click the calendar header will pop up the months list
window, you can quick switch to another month. (Figure 7)

Import
/ Export |

Click
button at the events list page will pop up the Exort / Import
window. (Figure 8)

| 1. Import |
- Click
button and choose a file to import, currently we only support
import XML format file. This function is designed for backup
/ restore events data, you can first export the events data
to a XML file and backup it, then you can import the events
data when you install cool calendar on other computers.
- Note: When the correspond event already exist,
program will skip the event, no change with the exist event.

| 2. Export |
- You can choose export to Microsoft Outlook, Text file,
Web page file or XML file.
- The exported web page is like figure 9, text file is like
figure 10.

Reminder

Select Reminder at the preference window switch to
Reminder setting page, see figure 11:

| 1. Reminder |
- Default reminder: This is to set the default reminder
for minutes before event start time when create a new event.
- Auto close the reminder window after display for: If
this option checked, the reminder window will auto closed
after display for the minutes you selected, when close the
reminder window, dismiss or snooze the reminder is according
which you selected in the next option "Time to display
reminder agian after snooze an item".

| 2. When close the reminder window |

- Snooze all items listed on the reminder window:
Close the reminder window, and display the reminder again
after the time you set in "Time to display reminder
agian after snooze an item".
- Dismiss all items listed on the reminder window:
Close the reminder window, and clear the reminder setting
of all events listed on reminder window, if the event enabled
recurrence, the reminder time will auto set to next time
the event occurs.

| 3. Reminder window |
When the reminder is set, the system will automatically
display reminder messages at the specified time before the
event due time, see figure 12:

- Click event title to open event editing window.
- Select the event and click
to dismiss the reminder, or click
to snooze the reminder.
- Click
to select all events.
- By default, 5 minutes after the reminder snoozed, the
reminder message will pop up again.
- By default, close the reminder window will auto dismiss
all items on reminder window, to set the reminder option,
see Reminder Setting.
