General Options
  • Right click the cool calendar icon on system tray, then Choose Preference... from the pop up menu, to bring up Cool Calendar Preference window.
  • Double click the cool calendar icon on system tray can also bring up the preference window, the window UI is like below:

1. Start / Exit
  • Auto launch when windows start
    Automatically launches Cool Calendar after reboot. Selected by default.
  • Keep cool calendar on desktop after exit the program
    Keeps the content created by Cool Calendar on desktop after exiting the program. If not selected, the desktop will be reverted to the status before Cool Calendar was launched.
  • Auto check for update at start
    Software will auto connect to cool calendar website check for the update, it will prompt user it there is a new version available.
2. Desktop interactive
  • Enable mouse interactive on desktop
  • After enable this option, you can:
    • Quick adding an event by double clicking dates on the desktop calendar.
    • Directly click the event title on desktop to enter event edit window.

3. Workday
  • Workday:
    Here you can specify workdays, workday and weekend day generally displayed in a different style on the desktop calendar. (Note: checked are workdays) .
4. UI language
  • Choose the default UI language, currently we support English, Chinese Simplified and Korean.

5. Show current date on Cool Calendar system tray icon
  • Displays current date on the system tray icon. (As shown. Recommended)
  • If this options is not checked, will display an icon without the date, as shown:
  • Right click the icon will brings up the main menu of Cool Calendar, which include the common used commands, like change skin, create new event etc. like below:.
